Fishing Tournaments - 2009
Dates for the most important fishing tournaments in the Eastern Canary Islands for this year 2009 have already been confirmed.
The one that will kick-off the challenges is the XVII Big Game Fishing Tournament of Puerto Calero, that will take place the 3rd, 4th and 5th of September, and this year will be under the flag of the Spanish Fishing Federation branding the tournament as the XII King's Cup. Apparently there are talks about that the winner will be granted an entree into the Blue Marlin World Cup of 2010 (this is unconfirmed at the moment).
Next in line will be the XV International Open of Game Fishing of Gran Tarajal. This tournament, which year after year has 100 boats taking part, usually has very atractive prizes for the winners. It will take place on the 10th, 11th & 12th of September.
Finally, there's the IGFA Rolex Marina Rubicón Marlin Cup for Champions that will take place on the 17th, 18th & 19th of September, and as usual, the winner will be able to attend (al expenses paid) and participate on the IGFA Offshore Championship in Cabo San Lucas (México).
Should you have interest on chartering one of our boats to participate on any of these tournaments, do not hesitate to contact us.
